Addressing the panel discussion on “Atma Nirbharta: Making India Self-reliant in Defence Technology – Vision & Roadmap”, Commodore Munjal (Retd) highlighted the platform’s capabilities in boosting indigenous manufacturing and empowering MSEs, Startups & Women-led enterprises to enhance the scalability of their business. He further emphasised upon the various benefits of procurement through GeM, including the enhanced #Efficiency, #Transparency and #Inclusivity it offers for a thriving public procurement marketplace.
Talking further about the roadmap for the future, Commodore Munjal (Retd) recommended the listing of those products on GeM that are developed through the Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) for greater visibility and procurement of defence innovation by other government users as well.
